Can I take multiple inburgering exams on the same day?

Hi, I'm Maksim 👋 When you plan inburgering exams, it can be tempting to finish everything as fast as possible.
One idea is to take several exams on the same day. It sounds efficient, but I personally think it can also be risky and exhausting 😅

No, I did not take several exams on the same day.
For me, it felt too difficult. I know someone who did it successfully, so it is possible. But if you did not have intensive Dutch practice and you are not fully confident, I would choose one exam at a time.
Which exams I would combine 📖🎧
If I had to combine exams, I would combine Reading and Listening.
These two feel more manageable together because they are more passive skills. You mostly need to understand information, not actively produce Dutch.
But I would do Writing separately. I would also separate KNM and especially Speaking.
Why I would separate Speaking 🗣️
Speaking is the hardest exam emotionally, in my opinion.
You are in a room with other people, you hear their voices, and at the same time you need to filter out their sounds and speak yourself.
That can be very tiring. Because of this, I would not combine Speaking with another exam on the same day.
My advice for exam day 💡
Do not plan anything heavy on the day of the exam.
Stress can easily affect your result. If possible, I would take time off work before the exam and avoid meetings, so your brain is not overloaded before you even start.

Frequently asked questions
Can I take multiple inburgering exams on the same day?
It's possible — booking availability depends on your test location — but Maksim recommends being cautious unless you're very confident, since combining exams adds real fatigue on top of the exams themselves.
Which inburgering exams are safest to combine?
Reading and Listening — both are more passive, receptive skills, so pairing them feels more manageable than combining them with Writing, KNM, or Speaking.
Should I combine Speaking with another exam on the same day?
Maksim would avoid it — Speaking is emotionally demanding on its own, requiring you to filter out noise from other candidates while producing spoken Dutch, and pairing it with another exam adds unnecessary fatigue.
